Vehicle Surrender Authorization Agreement

Vehicle Surrender Authorization Agreement

Effective date: May 2026

This Vehicle Surrender Authorization Agreement is entered into between the customer named in the agreement and Before Repo, a service operated by Optima Towing. Before Repo requires this agreement to be signed before any case classified as Vehicle Rescue, Vehicle Return Assistance or Surrender Assistance can be scheduled.

Customer Information

When the customer signs the agreement through the secure link, the following customer information is captured and stored with the signed record:

  • Full name
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Address
  • City
  • State

Vehicle Information

The signed agreement also captures vehicle details to confirm the case scope:

  • Year
  • Make
  • Model
  • Color
  • VIN
  • License plate
  • Current vehicle location
  • Lender or finance company
  • Return location, if available

Service Selected

One of the following service packages is selected at signing:

  • Basic Vehicle Return Assistance $300
  • Priority Vehicle Rescue $450
  • Emergency Rescue starting at $650
  • Custom Quote

Authorization

The customer authorizes Before Repo to assist with the pickup, towing, transportation, documentation and voluntary return coordination of the vehicle identified in this agreement.

The customer confirms that the customer is the owner, borrower, authorized possessor or otherwise legally authorized person to request assistance for this vehicle.

The customer understands that Before Repo's role is limited to towing, transportation, coordination support, documentation, pickup assistance and vehicle return assistance.

The customer understands that Before Repo does not provide legal advice, financial advice, credit counseling, credit repair, debt settlement, loan modification, lender negotiation or insurance claim advice.

Driver and Keys

The customer must disclose who is driving, controlling or releasing the vehicle and who has the keys.

The customer confirms that any person releasing the vehicle is authorized to do so.

The customer agrees that inaccurate driver, access or keys information may delay or prevent service.

Mileage and Vehicle Condition

The customer agrees to provide the current mileage if available.

The customer authorizes Before Repo to photograph the vehicle, VIN, license plate, mileage, keys, interior, exterior, damage and delivery location for documentation purposes.

These records may be stored in the CRM and used for service documentation, customer confirmation, dispute response, payment verification or legal protection.

Insurance and Accident Disclosure

The customer must disclose whether the vehicle is insured, whether the vehicle has been involved in an accident, whether there is an open insurance claim and whether insurance money was received but repairs were not completed.

Before Repo does not provide insurance advice, claim advice, legal advice or financial advice.

This information is collected only for documentation, pickup, delivery, dispute prevention and vehicle return coordination.

Vehicle Value and Loan Information

If the customer provides payoff, loan balance, estimated value, MMR or lender related information, Before Repo may store that information for internal documentation.

Before Repo does not provide valuation advice, loan advice, credit advice or financial advice.

Before Repo does not tell the customer whether to keep, surrender or finance a vehicle based on value information.

The customer must confirm all financial, loan and insurance issues directly with the lender, insurance company or qualified professional.

No Credit Guarantee

The customer understands that Before Repo does not guarantee credit protection, debt cancellation, loan forgiveness, lender approval or removal of negative credit reporting.

The customer understands that a voluntary vehicle return may still affect the customer's credit.

The customer understands that the customer may still owe a remaining balance, fees, deficiency balance or other amounts to the lender after the vehicle is returned or sold.

The customer understands that any credit reporting, debt balance, lender decision, account status or collection action is controlled by the lender, finance company, credit reporting agencies or other third parties, not by Before Repo.

Lender Instructions

The customer understands that the customer is responsible for confirming any voluntary return instructions directly with the lender or finance company.

The customer understands that Before Repo may assist with logistics and documentation, but Before Repo does not guarantee that the lender will accept the vehicle return or treat the return in any particular way.

The customer agrees to provide accurate lender information, return instructions and any available confirmation from the lender.

Vehicle Condition and Personal Property

The customer is responsible for removing all personal belongings from the vehicle before pickup or before final delivery.

Before Repo is not responsible for personal property left inside the vehicle.

The customer authorizes Before Repo to take photos and record the condition of the vehicle, keys, mileage, exterior, interior and delivery location for documentation purposes.

These photos and records may be stored in the CRM and used for service documentation, customer confirmation, dispute response, payment verification or legal protection.

License Plates

License plates should not be removed before the vehicle reaches the approved delivery location or Before Repo's designated delivery address.

If the vehicle is being delivered to Before Repo's address or another designated location, the plates may be removed only at the delivery location, not before pickup and not during transportation, unless legally required or specifically instructed by the lender or applicable law.

License plate handling may depend on state law, lender instructions and the specific return process.

The customer agrees to follow all applicable state requirements regarding license plates, registration cancellation, insurance cancellation and RMV or DMV procedures.

Pickup and Access

The customer confirms that the vehicle will be accessible at the pickup location.

The customer confirms that the customer will provide keys if available.

The customer confirms that the customer has the authority to grant access to the vehicle at the pickup location.

The customer understands that additional fees may apply if the vehicle is not accessible, not drivable, missing keys, located in a restricted area, blocked, impounded, outside the agreed service area or requires special handling.

Fees and Payment

The service fee must be paid before pickup unless otherwise approved in writing by Before Repo.

Basic Vehicle Return Assistance starts at $300. Priority Vehicle Rescue starts at $450. Emergency Rescue, after-hours service, long distance towing, difficult pickups and custom handling start at $650 and may cost more.

Payments are for towing, transportation, coordination, documentation and return assistance services.

Payment to Before Repo does not reduce, cancel or satisfy any loan balance, lender balance or debt owed to the lender.

Accuracy of Information

The customer confirms that all information provided is true and accurate to the best of the customer's knowledge.

The customer agrees to notify Before Repo immediately if any information changes before pickup or delivery.

The customer understands that inaccurate information may delay or prevent service.

Limitation of Service

Before Repo is not a law firm, financial advisor, credit repair company, debt settlement company or lender.

Before Repo does not negotiate loan terms, settle debt, modify loans or make legal claims on the customer's behalf.

Before Repo may decline or cancel service if the situation appears unsafe, unauthorized, fraudulent, unclear, legally risky or outside the scope of service.

Customer Acknowledgment

By signing this agreement, the customer confirms that the customer has read and understood this agreement.

The customer confirms that the customer understands the limits of Before Repo's service.

The customer confirms that the customer is voluntarily requesting assistance.

The customer confirms that the customer has had the opportunity to ask questions before signing.

The customer confirms that the customer authorizes Before Repo to proceed with the selected service after payment and scheduling are completed.

Customer Signature

The signed agreement records the customer's full legal name, digital signature, date, time and IP address when available.

Before Repo is a service operated by Optima Towing.
